Which implement for which job
The plough breaks and turns over compacted or grassy ground. The subsoiler, or ripper, works deep without turning the soil, to break up the plough pan and let water drain. The cultivator works the surface after ploughing, to break down clods and pull out weeds. The grader blade levels and clears, snow included; the post hole borer digs holes for posts and planting; the potato digger lifts potatoes, onions and garlic to the surface.
Check it fits your tractor
Three things matter: the minimum and maximum horsepower, the linkage category (Category 1 is the one for compact tractors, but some implements need Category 2) and the lower link spacing, which you measure on your tractor and compare with the minimum and maximum on the listing. Post hole borers and potato diggers also need a PTO.
The right horsepower
Almost all these implements are designed for tractors up to 60 hp; the largest grader blades go up to 100 hp. Every listing gives the minimum and maximum horsepower: on a tractor more powerful than intended, the implement is overloaded and breaks.

Will these implements fit my tractor?
Yes, if your tractor falls within the horsepower range on the listing, has the right linkage category and its lower link spacing sits between the minimum and maximum on the listing. That goes for the most common compact tractors, such as Kubota, Iseki, Yanmar and Mitsubishi.
What's the difference between a plough, a subsoiler and a cultivator?
The plough turns the soil over, the subsoiler breaks it up deep down without turning it, and the cultivator works the surface into a fine tilth. They're often used one after the other.
Are they suitable for high-horsepower tractors?
Almost all are designed for tractors up to 60 hp; only the largest blades go up to 100 hp. Going over the maximum horsepower on the listing risks damaging the implement.
Which implements need a PTO?
Post hole borers and potato diggers, driven by the PTO shaft, which is always included. Ploughs, subsoilers, cultivators and blades work off the three-point linkage alone.
